Little Cottage Company shed kits are delivered via common carrier.
When the pallet reaches the customer’s local terminal, the shipping company will contact the customer to set up delivery. The customer is responsible for providing at least two people at delivery to help unload the kit. (The driver is not required to help unload) The pallet will be brought to the back of the trailer where it will be unwrapped. The pieces are packed onto the pallet individually. After the bands are cut from the pallet, the pieces can be unloaded piece by piece.
When the pallet reaches the customer’s local terminal, the shipping company will contact the customer to set up delivery. When the truck arrives to the delivery address the pallet will be put on a lift gate and brought down to curbside or at the end of the driveway. Typically, the driver then brings the pallet up to the garage/front of the house area. Drivers do not assist in unpacking or cleanup.
The freight carrier will call to schedule an appointment during normal business hours. Please provide a daytime phone number at check out. Someone will need to be present at the time of delivery. A signature is required.Inspect the merchandise before the driver departs. Ensure that you have received every item noted on Bill of Lading. If you notice any damage, make sure the driver indicates this on the delivery slip before you sign it.
If the delivery location is in a remote location, i.e., accessible only by a ferry or boat, mountain, remote desert, etc., there may be additional shipping charges associated with your delivery. These charges are your responsibility to pay.
Should the purchaser wish to cancel order after it has been shipped the purchaser shall be responsible for all shipping charges incurred. This includes outbound and return freight charges. In addition to shipping charges a 15% restocking fee will be charged. All items must be returned undamaged. Any missing or damaged parts not attributed to the delivery or manufacturing process will be charged to the purchaser.
